Improve your Building ESG Performance with Spaceti & Ethos!

Dec. 1, 2022

Spaceti has helped Ethos Engineering earn a WELL Performance Rating for their Dublin headquarters, known as the “Living Lab”. This is the first building worldwide to achieve this rating, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!

Recently, our partner Ethos Engineering earned a WELL Performance Rating for their Dublin headquarters, and Spaceti is proud to be part of this project by providing Ethos with the tools they needed to collect data on their employees’ well-being and workplace experience.

Spaceti has worked closely with the Ethos team to develop an action plan based on their findings so they could work towards improving their workplace environment. Understanding and acting on performance data is key to leveraging workplaces as an attraction and retention tool and demonstrating leadership in corporate social responsibility and ESG.

What is Well Performance Rating?

The WELL Performance Rating was created by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), the leading authority for transforming health and well-being with its people-first approach to buildings, organizations and communities. The WELL Performance Rating is based on the WELL Building Standard (WELL). Developed over 10 years and backed by the latest scientific research, WELL outlines key building-level and organizational strategies across 10 categories to support human health, well-being and performance.

The WELL Performance Rating helps organizations implement best practices for continuous monitoring and performance across key IEQ metrics related to air quality, water quality, thermal comfort, acoustics, lighting and occupant experience. Comparing building performance to global benchmarks for health can help organizations to create healthier, safer and more productive offices and workspaces by using data and occupant experience. Rooted in Evidence and Technology

The WELL Performance Rating is informed by:

120+ experts from the IWBI Performance Advisory and select WELL Concept Advisories who are committed to driving rigor, evidence and scalability into the heart of the rating.
42 Performance Testing Organizations that provide the on-site testing required for third-party verification of WELL worldwide.
10+ IWBI member organizations and smart building technology leaders that shape the landscape of sensor technologies and drive the market toward real-time monitoring.
15+ WELL Enterprise Providers that deliver comprehensive solutions for their clients. Learn more here.

WELL Performance Rating Scope:

The WELL Performance Rating includes more than 30 features across seven action areas:

    • Indoor Air Quality
    • Water Quality Management
    • Lighting Measurement
    • Thermal Conditions
    • Acoustic Performance
    • Environmental Monitoring
    • Occupant Experience

Projects must achieve 21 points to achieve the WELL Performance Rating. Upon achievement of the WELL Performance Rating, customers can expand their commitment to health and well-being by certifying the whole building or scaling their efforts across their entire organization. More information on WELL Performance Rating Scope can be found here.

About Living Lab:

Ethos Digital and Spaceti have collaborated to develop a Living Lab. The Living Lab is a data-driven IoT engineering project, which will allow Ethos Digital to showcase the concept of Place-activation, the ability to manage operations from the insights provided by Spaceti’s suite of occupancy and environmental IoT sensors and space management platform. When combined, the data provided allowed the firm to regulate and manage the work environment, providing optimum levels of ventilation, space management and staff engagement.
