DevOps Architect (Kubernetes)

Do you want to join a small but mighty team responsible for operating and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that powers an entire technology stack? We are looking for a talented engineer to join our DevOps team.

Challenges / Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) based on open source technologies is regularly maintained by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance, and system health, while releasing to production without any downtime
  • Increase the effectiveness, reliability, and performance of the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way, and evaluating the results
  • Assist the Operations and Security teams to keep architecture aligned with ISO27001/SOC2 and other norms
  • Design and implement required failover mechanisms within the Docker/Kubernetes ecosystems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Docker and Kubernetes environment
  • Develop and maintain automated processes, tools, and documentation in support of the Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration platform
  • Work and develop SLA processes and mechanisms for our SaaS infrastructure, services, and applications as part of the Spaceti team
  • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly uptime and status reports for production and critical internal infrastructure


We are looking for DevOps Architect with:

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of datacentre infrastructure management (UNIX/Docker/ Kubernetes/ Microservices)
  • Generic Docker image administration skills, container networking, and standard infrastructure maintenance tasks on the Docker and Kubrnetes platform
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel options such as control groups and defining application groups to restrict resources
  • Good Linux system administrator skills and TCP/IP network fundamentals


Bonus points for:

  • Experience with managing K8s cluster on AWS
  • Expertise in building automation tools in any programming language (i.e. Ruby, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, Typescript, Angular, C++)
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as FluentD, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, and Prometheus
  • Experience with Hashicorp technologies such as Vault
  • In-depth experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
